MONTROSE, Colo. — Cornerstone Club plans to renovate its golf course and add lodging, dining, recreation and wellness amenities at its 4,800-acre private club community in Montrose.
Reef Capital Partners is leading the expansion. Renovations to the Matt Dusenberry-designed golf course are scheduled to be completed in summer 2027. Plans include new turfgrass, redesigned fairways and bunkers, improved cart paths and changes to holes 12 and 18.
The club also plans to build a bar and grill near the 18th green, a putting course, a pool and hot tub, an event lawn and new locker rooms. The club will add eight overnight cabins for members and guests.
Other improvements include a performance center with indoor recreation and fitness facilities as well as a spa with indoor and outdoor thermal pools, treatment cabins and cabanas.
Beginning in winter 2026, Cornerstone real estate members will have access to Crest Club Telluride, a private ski retreat at Madeline Hotel & Residences.
“Our vision is to preserve everything our members love about this community while making investments that enhance the experience,” said OD Vincent, vice president of golf operations at Reef Capital Partners.
Reef Capital Partners has selected Colorado-based CoralTree Hospitality to oversee hospitality operations. Cornerstone expects to begin a public real estate release in 2027.
