Downtown Greeley will relaunch its First Friday event April 3 as a monthly program highlighting local artists and businesses.
The event will take place on the first Friday of each month from April through September. Participating businesses will stay open late and host artist showcases, performances and promotions aimed at increasing foot traffic in the downtown district.
The six-month pilot program is organized by the Downtown Development Authority, the Greeley Creative District and the city of Greeley’s Culture, Parks and Recreation Department.
Visitors will be able to walk between participating locations using a map of downtown businesses and venues.
“First Friday is about celebrating our community through local business and local art,” said Gii Astorga of the Downtown Development Authority.
The first event is scheduled for April 3 from 5 p.m. until businesses close, with many locations expected to remain open until at least 8 p.m.
A list of participating businesses and event details will be posted on the website.
