, Colo. — announced changes to its board of directors, including the retirement of longtime board member Timothy Gallagher and the appointments of David Dragoo and Javier Alberto Soto.

Gallagher is retiring after serving on the board since the bank was founded in 2004. He was one of the bank’s original shareholders following its purchase from Vectra Bank and served on the board for more than two decades.

“Tim’s leadership, integrity and deep understanding of rural economies have shaped First Southwest Bank from day one,” President and CEO said. “His guidance and commitment to service have left a lasting legacy for our bank and the communities we serve.”

Dragoo is the founder of Montrose-based Mayfly, a manufacturer of fly fishing equipment. He also helped launch the mixed-use development in Montrose and serves on the Colorado Economic Development Commission.

Soto is president and CEO of The Denver Foundation. He previously served as president and CEO of The Miami Foundation and has experience in philanthropy, governance and community economic development.

The board changes were announced during the bank’s May board meeting.
