For more than a century, Griffith Centers for Children has provided services designed to support families and youth across Colorado. Today, the organization continues that mission by embracing innovation, collaboration and trauma-informed care.

Griffith Centers has adopted several nationally recognized frameworks to guide its work, including the Family First Act, the Sanctuary Model and its commitment as a trauma-informed agency. These approaches, leaders explained, ensure that staff members are equipped to provide care and resources that address the complex needs of the individuals and families they serve.

The organization also implemented the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS) across all levels, promoting alignment from leadership to frontline staff. Tools such as Level 10 meetings, quarterly State of the Company updates and “rocks and tasks” are used to build accountability, transparency and measurable progress. An engagement committee and a diversity, equity and inclusion committee were established to ensure continuity throughout the agency and foster a culture of respect and belonging.

Leaders said this values-based approach helps the organization remain responsive to community needs while strengthening employee engagement.
