DENVER — Haselden Construction has launched Haselden Direct Buy Solutions, a subsidiary focused on procuring mechanical systems and other equipment directly from manufacturers and vendors.
The Denver-based contractor said the subsidiary follows a pilot program launched in 2025. During that period, Haselden procured more than $20 million in equipment for clients.
Haselden said direct purchasing can reduce equipment costs by 5% to 10% compared with traditional procurement methods and shorten project schedules by 10 to 20 weeks. The subsidiary will seek competitive bids, compare pricing and project scope and secure equipment earlier in the construction process.
“A dedicated procurement division was a natural next step to help our teams and clients navigate today’s volatile supply chain,” Christian Ekstrom, vice president of preconstruction at Haselden, said.
The subsidiary will work with project owners, designers, contractors and vendors from the design phase through equipment commissioning and warranty support. Its services include reviewing design drawings, analyzing equipment options, evaluating bids, managing vendors, reviewing submittals, conducting performance testing and planning on-site logistics.
Founded in 1973, Haselden Construction is a general contractor serving the Western United States.
