After 21 years as a fixture in Cherry Creek North, HW Home is relocating to 9th & Colorado (9+CO), a 26-acre urban infill project developed by Continuum Partners.
The new 10,000-square-foot showroom at Eighth Avenue and Albion Street is scheduled to open this spring.
“We’re entering our next era of design-driven living,” said Ron Werner, owner and founder of HW Home.
“This is a flagship move. A homecoming. A transformation that reflects years of growth, evolution and resilience in a changing Cherry Creek North landscape.”
Werner said the 9+CO location is at the heart of some of Denver’s most iconic neighborhoods, where many of the retailer’s customers live. It has visibility from Colorado Boulevard and plenty of free parking.
“This is also a community that strongly supports local and independent businesses, so we know we’ll feel right at home,” Werner said.
The new location will have 50% more showroom space than HW Home had at the Cherry Creek location. Werner plans to reuse the reclaimed maple floor and recreate the onyx wall featured at the Clayton Lane location.
The 9+CO development has about 2 million square feet of mixed-use space and is designed to connect with the surrounding residential neighborhoods. It integrates open space and pedestrian amenities with a mix of residential, office, retail and entertainment space.
“With a prime location at the corner of 8th and Albion and 10,000 square feet of space, HW Home will essentially be a new anchor tenant for this thriving community and an ideal complement to our existing retail offering,” said Matt Schartz, Continuum’s director of asset management.
