The 140,000-square-foot store at The Shops at Northfield in the Central Park neighborhood will span two floors and feature 19 departments from furniture and housewares to appliances, mattresses, florals and décor as well as dedicated areas for design services.
The store will offer items customers can take home the same day as well as larger purchases such as sofas, shuffleboard tables and dining sets that Wayfair will deliver. It also will include The Porch, an all-day café serving fresh bits and a variety of beverages.
“As we expand our physical retail footprint into new regions across the U.S., we remain focused on delivering an exceptional shopping experience that brings the best of Wayfair to life,” Wayfair Vice President of Merchandising and Stores Liza Lefkowski said in a statement.
“With our Denver store, we’re thrilled to introduce Wayfair to new customers, from our unbeatable selection to personalized design service and the flexibility to shop wherever they want.”
Denver is the third store Wayfair has announced this year. It joins new locations in Atlanta and Yonkers, New York. Wayfair opened its first physical store in Wilmette, Illinois.
“We’re thrilled to partner with Wayfair as part of the transformation of The Shops at Northfield,” said Jeff Bhathal, co-head and managing director of retail at Stockdale Capital Partners, a Los Angeles-based private equity firm that owns and manages the open-air shopping destination.
“This collaboration is a key step in reimagining the center into a dynamic, pedestrian-focused destination that better serves the Denver metro area. Together we’re creating a place that reflects the energy, innovation and growth of this vibrant community.”
