Kristi Anderson Wells pivoted to family law in 2010 after spending the first decade of her career working in executive compensation for Fortune 500 companies. As president and CEO of Denver’s Wells Family Law, she focuses on complex domestic relations cases, including tax issues, premarital agreements, and divorces.

“In law, a lot of what people feel is power is being a strong litigator or being a powerful negotiator,” said Anderson Wells. “In family law, part of our duty—it’s not a written duty, but it’s a duty of the heart—is to leave families better than we find them, and not worse.”

“Being a great litigator, being a bulldog, being a great negotiator, those are not as important as being able to think outside the box about good solutions for families, because a win is very different for a corporation than it is for a family.”
