Meredith Mapel is president and CEO of Durango Coca-Cola Bottling Company, a family-owned beverage distribution business serving Southwest Colorado and Northwest New Mexico for more than 80 years. A third-generation leader, Mapel joined the company in 1999 and advanced through operations and sales roles before becoming president in 2016.

Under her leadership, the company has maintained financial stability while prioritizing employee safety, competitive benefits and sustainable business practices. Mapel has represented independent Coca-Cola bottlers nationwide as treasurer of the Coca-Cola Bottlers Association and as the first woman president of the Mainstream Council.

Beyond her business leadership, Mapel serves as a trustee of Fort Lewis College and chairs its Business Affairs Committee, overseeing finance, budget and audit responsibilities. She has also contributed to organizations including the Iron Horse Bicycle Classic, Adaptive Sports programs, San Juan Symphony and the Colorado Beverage Association. Her community leadership reflects a commitment to education, economic stability and regional growth.

A Durango native, Mapel continues her family’s legacy of service by supporting local events, youth athletics, arts programs and initiatives benefiting communities across the Four Corners region. Through operational leadership, industry advocacy and community engagement, she has helped strengthen her company and the communities it serves.
