Nicole Ament is a trailblazer whose career exemplifies excellence, mentorship and impact in real estate law and community leadership. As a shareholder and member of the Executive Committee at Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck, Nicole has shaped the firm’s strategic direction while mentoring the next generation of attorneys. She served as chair of the Real Estate Department from 2020 to 2024 and previously led the firm’s national Hospitality, Resort and Recreation practice group.
Nicole is celebrated for her national expertise in complex real estate portfolios, land use and large-scale developments. She has managed transactions involving up to 276 properties and over $1.5 billion in assets across diverse sectors including resorts, hotels, golf courses and health care facilities. Her work is distinguished by her ability to merge business acumen with legal precision, treating each deal as if it were her own and forging lasting partnerships with clients.
In the past year, Nicole has driven landmark projects such as the Kukui’ula resort community and coffee plantation acquisition in Kaua’i, the transformative Silverton Mountain and Aspen Heli-Ski development and The District mixed-use community in Centennial. She is a leader in Opportunity Zones, guiding developers through complex regulations to spur investment and job growth statewide.
A champion for women in law, Nicole co-founded Brownstein’s Women’s Leadership Initiative, mentoring dozens of women from associates to shareholders. Her service includes board roles with the Denver Center for the Performing Arts, Parkinson Association of the Rockies and Downtown Denver Partnership.
