The managing partner at Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck, Rich Benenson, 57, has more than a quarter-century of experience in litigation, handling a wide range of commercial and antitrust cases in industries ranging from healthcare to telecommunications.
“We’re not a command-and-control type environment when it comes to leadership,” said Benenson. “Our greatest assets are our people, and therefore leadership in high-performing law firms is really about relationships and connecting with people in important ways, getting their confidence and trust, creating some level of aspiration and inspiration, and then just leading by example.”
Benenson said his work fuels two passions. “I have both a law degree and an MBA. I love practicing law, and I also love business and the way business operates,” he added. “One of the best things about what I do is getting to learn about new industries all the time, and that is very exciting to me.”
