A fourth-generation Coloradan, Kenzo Kawanabe, 53, is well-known for his acumen in the courtroom. During his 25-year career in litigation, the partner at Olson Grimsley and fellow and former state chair of the American College of Trial Lawyers and has worked as counsel in cases involving everything from mass torts and environmental issues to asylum claims and construction defects.

“Power can be defined in the legal industry in various ways, including most important clients, cases, and books of business,” said Kawanabe. “For me, power is the ability to make a positive difference for our clients and their communities.”

To that end, Kawanabe is committed to community service through past and present service on the boards of numerous nonprofits, including Asian Americans Advancing Justice, the Denver Foundation, and the Institute for the Advancement of the American Legal System.
