Vice President and General Manager of Turner’s Denver office, Scott Bustos, 49, has worked in construction since the late 1990s and joined Turner in 2016. A third-generation builder, Bustos now heads up construction for the international company’s Rocky Mountain region.

“Power, for me, is empowering others in their success,” said Bustos. “I want our people to have the most opportunities they can, to be the best providers for their family and their loved ones that they can, and that only comes through the work that we provide to them.”

A member of the board of directors of the Hispanic Contractors of Colorado, Bustos has recently helped oversee such marquee projects as the expansion of the United Airlines flight training center and a $1.2 billion renovation at Denver International Airport. Another high-profile job is an ongoing project at the Denver Broncos’ headquarters in Dove Valley.

“Treat everybody like a client,” said Bustos of his guiding principle at work. “From the receptionist at the front desk to the carpenters in the field, treat them like they’re the most important client that you have.”
