WORTHGROUP marks 35 years working with Tribal Nations

DENVER, Colo. — WORTHGROUP Architects & Designers is marking 35 years of work with Tribal Nations and projects in hospitality, community and entertainment markets across North America.

Founded in 1990, the Denver-based firm has focused much of its work on projects for Tribal governments and enterprises, emphasizing the incorporation of cultural and community priorities into architectural planning and design.

Travis Bryan, chief executive officer of WORTHGROUP, said the firm’s work has been shaped by long-term relationships with Tribal clients and partners.

Over the past three decades, WORTHGROUP has worked with nearly 90 Tribal Nations across the country. Its portfolio includes cultural centers, resorts, travel plazas, administration buildings and community facilities. The firm provides architecture, interior design and master planning services.

Recent projects include the Chicken Ranch Casino Resort for the Chicken Ranch Rancheria Me-Wuk Indians of California, the Avon dual-brand hotel for JMA Ventures Inc. and the Hočąkata Ṫi Cultural Center for the Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community in Minnesota.

The firm’s earlier work included hospitality and entertainment projects such as the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, which opened in 1995, and the Inn of the Mountain Gods Resort and Casino for the Mescalero Apache Tribe in New Mexico, which opened in 2005. WORTHGROUP later completed renovation work at the French Lick Springs Hotel and West Baden Springs Hotel in Indiana and additional projects for the Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community, including the Mystic Lake Center event and conference facility.

More recent projects include the Chicken Ranch Casino Resort in Jamestown, Calif., which opened in 2024, and renovations at Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Tulsa.

Bryan Hamlin, partner and chief design officer, said the firm continues to focus on projects that reflect Tribal priorities and long-term community planning.
