Denver-based real estate firm BMC Investments has named Michael Robertson chief legal and compliance officer and partner.

Before joining BMC, Robertson was a partner at an Am Law 200 firm and previously worked at a litigation boutique in Denver. In private practice, he served as trial counsel in complex cases nationwide for clients including Fortune 500 companies and professional sports organizations such as the Denver Broncos Football Club.
Robertson also advised Colorado real estate developers and private equity firms on transactional and risk matters.

He holds a law degree from the University of Miami School of Law and a bachelor’s degree in mass communication and business administration from Louisiana State University.
BMC Investments said Robertson joins its leadership team as the firm expands development projects in the Denver metro area and nationally, including the Cherry Lane redevelopment project in Cherry Creek North.
