CCD Foundation awarded $325,000 scholarship grant in Colorado

The Community College of Denver Foundation has received a $325,000 grant to provide student scholarships during the next two academic years.
The funding comes from the Reisher Scholars Program at The Denver Foundation. The CCD Foundation is among 28 organizations receiving money through a $25 million statewide initiative marking the scholarship program’s 25th anniversary.
The scholarships will support Community College of Denver students with demonstrated financial need.
“This $325,000 investment will create opportunities for CCD students by helping remove financial barriers that can stand between them and completing their education,” said Jim Chavez, executive director of the CCD Foundation.
Nearly 70% of CCD graduates complete their education without debt, according to the foundation.
The Reisher Scholars Program works with colleges and universities across Colorado. The Reisher Family Foundation funds the program, which is administered by The Denver Foundation.
