Denver celebrates Colorado Day with events at Union Station and parks

Denver will mark Colorado’s 150th anniversary with events at Union Station, Commons Park and McGregor Square on Saturday, Aug. 1.
Colorado Day at Union Station, 1701 Wynkoop St., will run from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Activities will include performances by Rootbeer Richie & The Reveille, the Cleo Parker Robinson Youth Ensemble and Central City Opera. Historic Denver will offer LoDo walking tours, while the National Western Center and Colorado Rapids will provide activities.
Taste of Colorado will offer Colorado-inspired dishes from Union Station restaurants for $17 each. An alcohol add-on will include cocktails and spirits from Colorado producers.
Commons Park, 1550 Little Raven St., will host 149 Colorado makers and performances by Colorado-based musicians from noon to 6 p.m. Admission is free.
McGregor Square, 1900 Wazee St., will offer music, activities and Colorado 150 merchandise from noon to 10 p.m. Coors Banquet will host a custom hat press station from 4 to 6 p.m.
