DENVER — Holland & Hart LLP has added a patent team from Ashurst Perkins Coie as the Denver-based law firm expands its intellectual property practice.
Partners Amanda Tessar, David St. John-Larkin and Daniel Keese have joined the firm. Matt Pierce, of counsel, and Trevor Bervik, associate, are expected to join within several weeks. A paralegal is expected to join by the end of August.
The attorneys handle patent litigation in federal courts, International Trade Commission investigations and Patent Trial and Appeal Board proceedings. Their work also includes licensing, transactions and patent portfolio development.
The team has experience in semiconductors, wireless communications, software, artificial intelligence, cloud computing, telecommunications, medical devices, biotechnology and manufacturing.
Tessar represents technology companies in patent disputes, including trials, settlements and appeals. Keese handles patent, trade secret and unfair competition cases. St. John-Larkin advises companies on patent strategy, licensing, industry standards and open-source software.
“Continuing to build a national destination for complex intellectual property matters is a strategic priority for the firm,” Holland & Hart Chair Chris Balch said.
The additions follow the recent hiring of patent attorneys Molly Kocialski and Elizabeth Manno. Holland & Hart said the expanded team will represent technology companies in patent disputes and advise them on intellectual property strategy.
