DENVER — Schauble Law Group and Sector Law have merged to form a unified firm focused on serving nonprofit and tax-exempt organizations, the firms announced.
The newly combined practice will operate under the Sector Law name and aims to provide expanded legal services for charitable organizations, foundations and mission-driven enterprises across the country. The merger brings together attorneys with more than 25 years of experience in nonprofit law.
“This isn’t just a merger, it’s a natural extension of years of mutual respect, aligned values and a shared belief that exceptional legal support should be a catalyst for good,” said Karen Schauble, founder of Schauble Law Group.
Formerly known as Leaffer Law Group, Schauble Law Group was established with a focus on providing accessible legal counsel to nonprofits and foundations. Schauble, who previously worked at prominent Colorado law firms, built the firm on a commitment to affordability and mission alignment.
Sector Law was co-founded by Erik Estrada and Joshua Deal, both of whom have backgrounds at AmLaw Top 25 firms. Their work has supported high-impact nonprofit clients nationwide by blending legal acumen with public service values.
“With this merger, Sector Law expands its practice areas and strengthens its ability to pursue our shared mission with broader reach, deeper impact and enduring resilience,” Deal said.
The merger also adds Jennifer Shook, a tax attorney, and Danny Hernández, the firm’s administrator and legal assistant. Both are recognized for their commitment to personalized client service.
“This merger enables us to scale our impact, grow our bench strength and deliver even more thoughtful, strategic guidance to clients who are solving some of society’s most pressing challenges,” Estrada said. “Sector Law now stands as a leading law firm exclusively focused on the nonprofit and philanthropic sector.”
