DENVER — The Denver Woman’s Press Club will host former Colorado Poet Laureate Joseph Hutchison for a poetry reading and discussion on Saturday, Dec. 13, 2025, from 10 to 11:30 a.m.
The event will take place at the club’s historic Capitol Hill clubhouse at 1325 Logan St. Admission is $20 for members and $30 for nonmembers. Space is limited and early registration is encouraged at dwpconline.org/events.
Hutchison, who served as Colorado Poet Laureate from 2014 to 2019, will read from his work and lead a discussion. He will also sell and sign select titles. Hutchison is the author of eight full-length collections including “Under Sleep’s New Moon” and “The World As Is: New and Selected Poems 1972-2015.” His twelfth chapbook, “Cliff Swallow at Mesa Verde,” was recently released by Middle Creek Publishing. His poetry has been published in numerous journals and anthologies. He lives in the mountains southwest of Denver with his wife Melody Madonna.
Founded in 1898, the Denver Woman’s Press Club is one of the oldest women’s press organizations in the country. Its members include journalists, novelists, essayists, poets, podcasters, screenwriters and other communications professionals whose work appears across a wide range of media.
