Flexential plans largest Dallas-area data center campus with 108 megawatts capacity

DENVER — Flexential has purchased 110 acres in Kaufman County, Texas, for its fourth and largest data center campus in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
The Denver-based company plans to begin site work in early 2027 on the property in Talty, southeast of Dallas. The first phase, expected to become available to customers in late 2028, will include a 375,000-square-foot building with 36 megawatts of capacity.
The campus could eventually include three data center buildings with a combined capacity of 108 megawatts.
“Companies are planning two and three years out and still struggle to secure the infrastructure they need,” CEO Ryan Mallory said.
Flexential said the facility will use closed-loop cooling systems designed to reduce water consumption. Utility power will be added in phases.
The Dallas-Fort Worth data center market reached 1,249.4 megawatts of inventory at the end of March, up 43.7% from a year earlier, according to CBRE. Vacancy fell to 1.8%, while 88% of the 716.7 megawatts under construction was preleased.
Flexential’s three existing Dallas-area facilities total more than 459,000 square feet and 28.4 megawatts of capacity. The company operates more than 40 data centers across 18 U.S. markets, with more than 380 megawatts operating or under development. It is also developing a facility in Parker, Colorado.
