Quantum technology company Infleqtion has opened the Colorado Quantum Innovation Center at 1315 W. Century Drive in Louisville.
The facility will serve as the company’s global headquarters and support its quantum computing and sensing operations. Infleqtion develops neutral-atom technology and has worked on deployments involving the U.S. Department of War, NASA and the United Kingdom’s Royal Navy.
“Neutral-atom technology was born out of research happening right here in Colorado, and it’s fueling a new generation of jobs, companies and breakthroughs,” Infleqtion CEO Matt Kinsella said.
The company said its headquarters will also provide a meeting and collaboration site for businesses, national laboratories, research institutions and universities.
The Boulder, Louisville and Broomfield corridor is home to more than 30 quantum companies, according to Infleqtion. The regional industry traces some of its research to JILA, a joint institute of the University of Colorado Boulder and the National Institute of Standards and Technology.
Elevate Quantum, the region’s federally designated technology hub, leads a consortium of more than 100 organizations in Colorado and the Mountain West.
Gov. Jared Polis, U.S. Rep. Brittany Pettersen, Louisville Mayor Chris Leh and representatives from universities and the quantum industry attended the center’s opening. Infleqtion trades on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol INFQ.
