AURORA, Colo. — Just Plumbing Inc. relocated its operations to Aurora in early December to serve older homes with aging plumbing systems and support new construction projects in developing areas of the city.
Aurora, which has nearly 400,000 residents, saw its largest population growth in the 1970s and 1980s, adding nearly 150,000 people during that period. Many homes built during those decades now require plumbing system upgrades. Median home values in Aurora have risen about 9% over the past year, compared with roughly 7% across the Denver metro area.
At the same time, new development along corridors including Colfax Avenue, Parker Road and Iliff Avenue has increased demand for plumbing installations in residential and commercial projects.
Many homes built in the 1970s and 1980s used materials such as polybutylene piping and older copper systems that are reaching the end of their useful life. Expansive soils common in Colorado can also damage pipes and sewer lines over time.
The company said it has completed repiping projects across several Aurora neighborhoods, often replacing entire plumbing systems while homes remain occupied.
“Properties from that era are increasingly moving beyond routine repairs and into full system replacements,” said Bill Clark, owner of Just Plumbing Inc. Clark is a licensed master plumber with more than 30 years of experience.
Following the move, the company said it is increasing availability for Aurora-area projects and prioritizing local scheduling.
Services include whole-house and partial repiping, new construction plumbing, water heater installation, plumbing remodels and water leak repairs.
