Kate Strauss

Kate Strauss is an accomplished attorney and business owner whose leadership is reshaping Colorado’s construction industry. As co-founder of Galvanize Law Group, LLC, a women-owned firm based in Lakewood, Kate leads a team of 23 employees, including 11 attorneys, serving contractors, subcontractors, engineers and material suppliers. Since launching in 2020, Galvanize has grown steadily, earning Law Firm of the Year honors from the American Subcontractors Association of Colorado in 2022 and 2025.
With nearly two decades of legal experience, Kate is trusted for her expertise in construction defect litigation, mechanic’s liens, payment disputes and complex contract claims. Her practical approach to resolving intricate legal issues has made her a valued partner to companies statewide. She has been named a Colorado Super Lawyer from 2019 to 2025 and was recognized as a Rising Star from 2015 to 2017. She has also earned 5280 Top Lawyer honors for seven consecutive years.
In 2024, Kate’s impact extended far beyond the courtroom. She co-led a trial team that secured a full defense verdict in a high-value dispute and delivered legal education through presentations for industry groups and national events like World of Concrete. She also shared her insights as a guest on the Women Talk Construction podcast and contributed to national webinars.
Kate actively uplifts her community as co-chair of the Women of Construction Committee at ASAC and through support of Transportation & Construction GIRL. She mentors her staff, serves on the Colorado Bar Association Ethics Committee and creates new pathways for women in construction law and trades.
