A principal and president of the board of directors at OZ Architecture in Denver, Rebecca Stone, 54, joined the firm in 1998. In her leadership of OZ’s resorts and hospitality practice, Stone has made a mark at just about every major ski resort in the West, including Keystone, where she spent time as a seasonal employee in college and is now spearheading the design of the new Kindred Resort, slated to open in mid-2025.

An architect’s power is rooted in the ability “to innovate, explore, push boundaries, and advance design while cultivating trust that comes with experience and knowledge,” said Stone. “There is nothing more inspiring than to stand inside a building that was at one point an ethereal idea and is now being inhabited.”

She added, “Having a passion that is also a career is something that I understand not everyone has, but those who do have it, it never feels like work!”
