Stored Energy Systems has opened a 105,000-square-foot manufacturing and office facility at 375 Disc Drive in Longmont, doubling the company’s footprint from two years ago.
The power systems manufacturer marked the opening Thursday with a ribbon-cutting ceremony hosted by the Longmont Area Chamber of Commerce. The facility will expand production capacity for customers in the data center, utility, energy, industrial and health care sectors.
SENS has operated in Longmont since relocating from California in 1992 with three employees. Its workforce grew from 50 employees at the end of 2020 to 230 at the end of 2025. The company employed 291 people in July and expected to reach 300 by the end of August.
Revenue has increased about 50% annually during the past five years, according to the company.
“This facility increases our ability to build, test and ship complete power systems in the U.S., create high-quality local jobs and respond at the speed and scale our customers require,” CEO Igor Stamenkovic said.
SENS said its systems support more than 80% of North American data centers. The company’s products include integrated systems that combine power conversion, energy storage, electrical distribution, controls and communications.
