Dee Daniels Scriven is the inaugural Director of the Office of New Americans (ONA) in Colorado. The office was established by law in 2021, Daniels Scriven was hired in June 2022. ONA’s mission is to facilitate the integration and inclusion of New Americans into Colorado’s civic, economic and social life. ONA acts as the central hub connecting state agencies, private sector entities, and the community to foster economic stability and the integration of New Americans. Daniels Scriven spearheads Colorado’s policy development, and initiatives and program implementation at the intersection of immigration and integration.
