LOUISVILLE, Colo. — Sierra Space has appointed Jill Pomeroy as senior vice president of government relations.
Pomeroy will lead the company’s government relations efforts with Congress, the Department of Defense, the intelligence community and NASA. She will oversee strategies related to federal, state and local policy and legislative priorities.
Pomeroy has more than 25 years of experience in technology, public policy and national security. Before joining Sierra Space, she served as senior director of government relations for Northrop Grumman’s Space Sector. She has also held leadership positions at Ball Aerospace, DigitalGlobe and Harris Corp.
“American space leadership requires more than technology. It demands trusted partnerships with Congress and the executive branch to secure the funding, policy frameworks and programmatic support that our national security and space exploration priorities depend on,” said Dan Jablonsky, CEO of Sierra Space.
Pomeroy said she was drawn to the company’s role in national security and commercial space.
“Few industries are evolving as rapidly, or with as much strategic importance, as space,” she said.
Louisville-based Sierra Space designs and manufactures satellites, spacecraft, propulsion systems, reusable spaceplanes and other space technologies for government and commercial customers.
