Construction is complete on The Bellwether, a 253-unit multifamily development in the Denver Tech Center, developers announced.
The seven-story apartment building at 7831 E. Union Ave. replaces a surface parking lot. The project was developed by Opus and Miller Global Properties with equity investment from Principal Asset Management.
The Denver Tech Center spans more than 900 acres and includes more than 1,000 companies along with hotels, restaurants and housing. The Bellwether is located less than a mile from the Belleview RTD light rail station and near the Interstate 25 and Interstate 225 interchange.
“The Bellwether represents the next evolution of residential living within the Denver Tech Center,” said Eric Chamberlin, senior director of real estate development at Opus. “Our vision was to transform an underutilized site into a residential community that complements the area.”
The development includes studio, one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments. Units feature quartz countertops, wood-style flooring, smart home features, washers and dryers and walk-in closets. The property includes controlled access, surface and garage parking and 58 electric vehicle charging stations.
Amenities include a coworking space, a fitness center, a yoga studio, a pool and outdoor areas, a clubroom with dining space, a game room and a landscaped pond with walking paths and dog stations.
“We are thrilled that The Bellwether is now available for leasing,” said Jimmy Miller, president and CEO of Miller Global Properties.
The property was designed and built by Opus. Lamar Johnson Collaborative served as the interior designer. The building will be leased and managed by Greystar.
