DENVER — The Colorado Tourism Office has launched Colorado Concierge, an artificial intelligence travel assistant designed to provide instant answers and personalized recommendations for visitors to the state.
The tool, developed in partnership with Matador Network‘s GuideGeek technology, offers custom itineraries, travel tips and connections to local businesses, ski resorts and hiking trails. It is trained on data from the tourism office and integrates with more than 1,000 travel information sources.
“Colorado Concierge helps travelers make the most of their trip, like finding breweries after a day of snowboarding or that perfect glamping site for outdoor adventures,” said Matador Network CEO Ross Borden.
Visitors can access the service at colorado.com by clicking the chat icon. Users can request a full itinerary based on their interests and budget or ask specific questions, such as where to catch live music in Boulder.
The AI has been tested and trained to provide accurate information on activities including skiing, mountain climbing and dark-sky camping, said Colorado Tourism Office Director Timothy Wolfe. He said the tool is intended to enhance the visitor experience and drive revenue for the state.
Colorado joins other destinations that have launched GuideGeek-powered AI tools, including New Zealand, Greece and New York City.
