LAKEWOOD, Colo. — The Red Rocks Community College Foundation has received a $225,000 grant from The Denver Foundation’s Reisher Scholars Program to provide need-based scholarships during the next two academic years.
The grant is part of a $25 million statewide initiative marking the scholarship program’s 25th anniversary. Red Rocks is among the Colorado colleges and universities receiving funding through the initiative.
“Our work is to remove barriers and ensure students can reach their goals,” RRCC Foundation Executive Director Jane Marsh said. “This gift will give us the opportunity to make a tangible difference for many students.”
Students seeking the scholarships should submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid or Colorado Application for State Financial Aid along with their scholarship application.
The Reisher Scholars Program was established by the Reisher Family Foundation and is administered by The Denver Foundation. Roger Reisher, who founded FirstBank in Lakewood, created the program to support Colorado college students with financial need.
