DENVER — Teach Plus Colorado has selected 18 pre-K-12 educators for its 2026-27 Policy Fellowship.
The educators will work with the Colorado Department of Education and other state leaders on foundational learning, postsecondary pathways and teacher recruitment and retention.
The fellows will examine implementation of the READ Act, literacy instruction beyond the early grades and support for multilingual learners. They also will study ninth-grade readiness, access to postsecondary programs, teacher credentialing and factors affecting whether educators remain in the profession.
“This cohort of 18 teacher leaders brings essential, real-time insight from across our state, from the Denver metro to the Western Slope,” Teach Plus Colorado Executive Director Jamita Horton said.
Teach Plus provides training in policy analysis, research, advocacy and communications.
