BROOMFIELD, Colo. — Vail Resorts announced planned opening dates for the 2026-27 ski season, with Keystone Resort expected to open as soon as conditions allow in October.
Other Colorado opening dates are Nov. 6 for Breckenridge, Nov. 13 for Vail Mountain and Nov. 25 for Beaver Creek and Crested Butte.
Whistler Blackcomb in British Columbia, Park City Mountain in Utah and Heavenly and Northstar in California are scheduled to open Nov. 20. Kirkwood in California and Stevens Pass in Washington are expected to open Dec. 4.
The dates are subject to weather and snow conditions. Additional resort dates will be announced later.
“While no one can predict exactly what Mother Nature will deliver, the possibility of blockbuster snowfall has us feeling optimistic about the winter ahead,” said Bill Rock, president of Vail Resorts’ Mountain Division. He said the company also plans to use snowmaking to prepare for the season.
Vail Resorts said Epic Pass prices will increase after Sept. 7. Current adult prices include $1,119 for the Epic Pass and $829 for the Epic Local Pass. Epic Day Pass prices range from $47 to $99 per day, depending on resort access and the number of days purchased.
