DENVER — Westerra Credit Union has been named to Newsweek’s list of America’s Best Regional Banks and Credit Unions for the third consecutive year and received a five-star rating from BauerFinancial.
The credit union’s chief information officer, Greg Glawson, also received a leadership award from The Credit Union Connection.
“These distinctions are not only a testament to our financial strength and stability, but our commitment to our members and the state of Colorado as a whole,” said Todd Marksberry, president and CEO of Westerra.
Newsweek and research firm Plant-A Insights Group evaluated financial performance metrics, including profitability and lending activity, along with survey data and online reviews to rank institutions.
BauerFinancial assigns ratings to federally insured financial institutions based on regulatory financial reports.
Glawson, who joined Westerra in recent months, said the organization’s focus on members has shaped his leadership approach.
“That dedication has shaped my approach to leading the technology department, and I am deeply honored to be recognized,” he said.
Westerra Credit Union, founded in 1934, serves about 113,000 members through nine branches in Colorado.
