DENVER — Saint John’s Cathedral will debut CELESTIA, an immersive light and music installation, on June 11 at its downtown Denver location.
The production uses 360-degree projection mapping, original music and sound design to transform the cathedral’s interior into a multimedia arts experience. An eight-member vocal ensemble will perform live during select Friday and Saturday evening presentations.
The installation will highlight the cathedral’s Gothic Revival architecture and historic features through projected visuals and music. The cathedral, located at 1350 Washington St., was designed by architects Tracy & Swartwout and built in the early 20th century.
“We are honored to present CELESTIA and bring its world debut to our cathedral,” said the Rev. Canon Katie Pearson, canon vicar of Saint John’s Cathedral. “This multisensory arts experience will illuminate the beauty of our historical cathedral and bring people together to share in a unique collective experience.”
The project was developed in partnership with Paquin Entertainment Group and Montreal-based Normal Studio.
Justin Paquin, president of exhibitions and theatrical at Paquin Entertainment Group, said the production combines visual effects and music to create an immersive storytelling experience.
CELESTIA is designed as a seated event and is open to audiences of all ages. Tickets are available through CelestiaExperience.com and include general admission and reserved seating options.
The installation is scheduled to remain open through summer 2026.
