AdventHealth and Intermountain Health plan to combine their Denver-area operations through a joint venture, the health systems announced Tuesday.
The organizations have signed a letter of intent and expect to complete a definitive agreement in the coming weeks. The transaction is expected to close in early 2027, subject to regulatory approval.
The proposed venture would include AdventHealth’s five Denver-area hospitals: AdventHealth Avista, AdventHealth Castle Rock, AdventHealth Littleton, AdventHealth Parker and AdventHealth Porter. It would also include the system’s emergency and urgent care centers and medical practices.
Intermountain would contribute Good Samaritan Hospital, Lutheran Hospital and Platte Valley Hospital, along with affiliated physician practices and clinics.
AdventHealth would manage the joint venture and oversee daily operations.
“By bringing together the capabilities of our organizations, we can expand access, augment services, enhance clinical quality and continue improving the health and well-being of people across the greater Denver metro,” AdventHealth President and CEO David Banks said.
Intermountain Health President and CEO Rob Allen said the joint venture would expand access to care and create a more connected experience for patients and care teams across the Denver area.
