The MICHELIN Guide will expand its coverage to all of Colorado, state tourism officials announced.
The guide first expanded into Colorado in 2023 and currently recognizes 50 restaurants in Aspen, Boulder, Denver and Vail. Those include one two-star restaurant, eight one-star restaurants and four green-star restaurants.
Inspectors will now evaluate restaurants statewide, reviewing dining experiences that highlight local ingredients and regional influences.
“I’m so excited that restaurants across our entire state now have the opportunity to gain recognition in the famed MICHELIN Guide,” Gov. Jared Polis said. “Across Colorado, our diverse local restaurants strengthen communities and create important jobs.”
State officials said the expansion could support restaurants and tourism by drawing visitors interested in dining experiences throughout Colorado.
“MICHELIN Guide’s presence in Colorado has already elevated Colorado’s reputation for culinary excellence,” said Eve Lieberman, executive director of the Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade. “Today’s announcement will further boost our restaurant industry and our tourism industry.”
Additional details about the selection process and the timing of statewide restaurant announcements are expected in the coming months.
