Only home in Cimarron Mountain Club in Colorado heads to auction at $25.7 million

The first and only residence inside the exclusive Cimarron Mountain Club is headed to the auction block.

Online bidding for Hideaway Creek Cabin, now listed for $25.7 million, will open on July 14.

The sale of the fully furnished 4,181-square-foot mountain home will conclude live on July 28 at Sotheby’s New York as part of a Concierge Auctions‘ New York Global Sales lineup.

The property, on 35 acres in the San Juan Mountains, offers a rare entry point into one of North America’s most exclusive alpine enclaves. Cimarron Mountain Club caps its total membership at just 13 families, granting them collective, private ownership over a 1,900-acre wilderness preserve.

The club has nearly three times the skiable terrain as Aspen Mountain without the lift lines, crowds or public access.

Completed in 2025, the four-bedroom, five-bathroom luxury cabin has a solar energy storage system, radiant floor heating and two wood-burning.

The club doesn’t have traditional chairlifts. Instead, uphill transit is provided by three snowcats driven by a team of 14 expert guides.

“Hideaway Creek Cabin represents a completely unique ownership experience – combining luxury real estate, private club membership  and access to an entire ski mountain, all while living in the club’s sole completed residence,” Concierge Auctions co-founder and CEO Chad Roffers said in a statement.

Property ownership includes access to a newly completed 15,000-square-foot private member lodge, Michelin-caliber dining, a spa and full concierge services.

But the cost of seclusion is high. The property’s annual HOA fee of $135,000 covers comprehensive state management, including snow removal, firewood delivery and grounds maintenance.

Located 30 minutes from the Montrose Regional Airport, the property sits along the Cimarron River corridor between the Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park and the peaks of the San Juans.

During the summer months, the area is a haven for world-class trout fishing on a private lake, alongside hiking, big game hunting and backcountry exploration.
