DENVER — Redaptive and Enabled Energy have formed a partnership to finance and complete upgrades at older data centers across the United States.
The companies will work with colocation providers, telecommunications companies and enterprise data center operators to identify and complete improvements to power, cooling and other infrastructure systems. The projects are intended to increase computing capacity, reduce energy costs and improve reliability as demand grows for artificial intelligence and high-density computing.
Enabled Energy will conduct facility assessments, provide engineering services and oversee project execution. Redaptive will structure and finance the projects through its energy-as-a-service model, allowing operators to make upgrades without upfront capital costs.
“Data center operators need to move fast on capacity and reliability, but annual budget cycles get in the way,” Redaptive CEO Arvin Vohra said. “By pairing Enabled’s execution with Redaptive’s financing model, our customers can upgrade their portfolios and unlock new capacity and revenue without tying up their own capital.”
The companies said the program will focus on facilities with opportunities to add capacity and reduce operating expenses within existing infrastructure. The services are available to multisite data center operators nationwide.
