In-N-Out proposes new Broomfield restaurant location

An early proposal was posted Feb. 4 by the city of Broomfield for an In-N-Out restaurant at 4181 W. 120th Ave. The current phase, called a concept review, is an early step in the city’s development process, which continues with opportunities for neighbors to chime in.

In-N-Out would build a new 3,890-square-foot building, with an additional 1,400-square-foot patio on its east side, according to the proposal. It also calls for 76 parking spaces, although the site is in a parking reduction zone and the city would need to grant an exception. And the plan calls for an extension of West 121st Avenue that would continue around to a new access onto West 120th Avenue.
In-N-Out submitted a plan for a location at 5005 W. 120th Ave. last year, but abandoned it at the same stage over traffic and access issues raised by residents.
In-N-Out opened its first Colorado location in 2020 and has grown along the Front Range steadily since. It has followed a consistent pattern of locating close to highways or major roads and large retail projects.
Where are In-N-Out restaurants in Colorado?
In-N-Out has 14 locations in Colorado. Its newest location in the state opened in November in Longmont. It also has outposts in Arvada, Aurora, Brighton, Castle Rock, Colorado Springs, Denver, Lakewood, Lone Tree, Loveland, Parker and Thornton.
Where else is In-N-Out planning to open in Colorado?
Construction is underway on a drive-thru restaurant at 4911 Cima Vista Drive in Timnath’s Ladera development. In-N-Out Burger has not released an opening date for the restaurant yet, but new locations typically take nine months from groundbreaking to grand opening, the company’s vice president of store development Mike Abbate told the Coloradoan on Jan. 5.
