Sons Gaming LLC plans to open an arcade and entertainment center in Brush with support from Colorado’s Rural Jump-Start program.
The Morgan County business will offer classic arcade and video games and plans to add attractions such as high-fidelity simulators, virtual reality and escape rooms as it grows. The facility will serve families in Northeast Colorado, Nebraska and Wyoming.
Sons Gaming will receive $25,000 in grant funding and four years of tax benefits through the Rural Jump-Start program. Eligible employees can also receive a state personal income tax credit while the company participates in the program.
“I am so excited Sons Gaming has been accepted into the Rural Jump-Start program,” said Evan Nicholson, founder of Sons Gaming. “I look forward to the opportunities it presents for growth in the community.”
The Rural Jump-Start program supports businesses that open or expand in designated rural areas, create new jobs and serve customers outside their local zones. The program is administered by the Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade.
“Sons Gaming represents exactly the kind of entrepreneurial investment we are excited to support through the Rural Jump-Start Program,” said Kristin Clifford-Basil, executive director of the Morgan County Economic Development Corporation. “Evan is bringing a family entertainment destination to Morgan County that will provide residents and visitors with new opportunities to connect, gather and have fun.”
The Morgan County Economic Development Corporation helped identify Sons Gaming as a candidate for the program and will support the company’s launch in the community.
