Urban Egg to close Fort Collins location after more than a decade

After more than a decade in , Urban Egg has announced plans to close its Fort Collins location.

The eatery, located at 230 S. College Ave., will serve its final guests on Aug. 30, according to a news release. Its closure comes as the restaurant’s lease expires, with the company choosing not to renew.

Known for its brunch staples, Urban Egg is a modern daytime restaurant founded in 2012 that focuses on locally sourced ingredients. The company operates locations across Colorado and other states, with eight to remain in Colorado after the Fort Collins closure.

“We love the Fort Collins community,” said , Urban Egg’s vice president of marketing. “We’re still looking for opportunities in .”

Pinckney said employees at the Fort Collins location will have the opportunity to relocate to the restaurant or other Urban Egg locations.

In the months leading up to its closing, Urban Egg plans to invite guests to stop by, revisit favorite dishes and share memories from its time in the community.

“We are incredibly grateful to the Fort Collins community for welcoming us into your lives over the past 10 plus years,” founder said in the release. “We’ve shared countless celebrations, family breakfasts and everyday moments with our guests, and those memories will always be part of Urban Egg’s story.”

If you’re hoping to stop by for one last bite, Urban Egg is currently open Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 7 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
